ГУРЕВИЧ Матвей Борисович (1878, Полтавская губ. – 1967, Москва), экономист, статистик, д-р экон. наук, проф. (1927). С 1896 работал в Полтав., Костром., Псков., Пензен. земских статистич. бюро. После 1917 заведовал Ярослав, губ. статистич. бюро; организовывал с.-х. статистику на Украине в 1922–33: зав. отд. статистики сел. х-ва, чл. коллегии ЦСУ и през. Госплана УССР. В годы 2-й мир. войны зам. нач. Статистич. упр. КиргССР. Один из инициаторов и организаторов высш. статистич. образования на Украине, при его участии в 1926 был создан статистич. ф-т Харьков. ин-та нар. х-ва.
