ГРУНБЕРГ (Гринберг) Аврагам (1841, Кишинев – 1906), купец и собственник, палестинофил. .Одним из первых богатых евреев примкнул к движению Хибат-Цион. Оказывал поддержку Л.Пинскеру в Одессе. В 1889 на конф. Ховевей-Цион в Вильно избран в к-т попечителей (среди чл. к-та были С.Могилевер и С.И.Фюн), ставший во гл. движения вместо Пинскера. В 1890 добился от царской администрации разрешения на созд. «Общества вспомоществования евреям-земледельцам и ремесленникам в Сирии и Палестине» (офиц. назв. Одес. к-та Ховевей-Цион). После смерти Пинскера (1892) избран пред. об-ва и оставил этот пост за неск. месяцев до смерти. Возглавлял делегацию, обсуждавшую в Париже с бароном Ротшильдом методы создания с.-х. поселений в Э.-И.
