ГОРФИН Давид Владимирович (1889, Житомир – 1969, Москва), организатор и историк здравоохранения, гигиенист, проф. Мед. образование получил на мед. ф-тах Берлинского (1910–14) и Саратовского (1915) ун-тов. Воен. врачом участвовал в 1-й мир. войне, с 1918 в Кр. Армии, в 1919–21 возглавлял отд. здравоохранения в Сызрани. В 1921 29 – в Наркомздраве РСФСР, одновременно (с 1926) ассистент, доцент кафедры социальной гигиены мед. ф-та 2-го Моск. ун-та (впоследствии 1-й мед. ин-т). В 1929–32 зав. такой же кафедрой и ректор Томского ун-та; в 1932–41 возглавлял Центр, ин-т усовершенствования врачей в Москве. В годы 1-й мир. войны – в сан. упр. Юго-Зап. и 3-го Укр. фр., Юж. группы войск. 1946–51 работал на кафедре орг-ции здравоохранения и социальной гигиены 1-го Моск. мед ин-та и в отделах орг-ции здравоохранения и истории медицины Н.-и. ин-та социальной гигиены и орг-ции здравоохранения.Осн. тр.
