Автор работ: «Евреи в кн. Иова» (1904), «Учебник иудаизма» (1917), «Решение палестинской проблемы» (1922), «История Израиля» (6 т., 1930) – переработка «Истории евреев» Греца и «Пророчества Исайи» (1937). Его сын Бенедикт Г. (1902–1952) был известным раввином-реформистом в США.
