ГЕРШЕНЗОН Абрам Осипович (1868, Аккерман – 1933), педиатр. Брат М.О.Гершензона. Род. в семье адвоката. Окончил мед. ф-т Киевского ун-та. С 1893 зав. амбулаторией Об-ва попечительства о больных детях в Одессе и санаторной ст. на Хаджибейском лимане. В 1901 организовал вторую в России «Каплю молока», где молочные смеси отпускались амбулаторно по назначению врача искусственно вскармливаемым детям. В 1907 в Одессе основал одну из первых в России консультаций для грудных детей. В последующие годы Г. организовал дет. консультации в Новорос. крае, преподавал в Ин-те охраны материнства и младенчества, на курсах переподготовки врачей и мед. сестер. Занимался проблемами борьбы с дет. заболеваемостью и смертностью. Его популярная брошюра для матери «Как кормить грудного ребенка и как с ним обращаться» выдержала неск. изд. и была пер. на укр. и евр. яз. Г. являлся одним из учредителей и товарищем (зам.) пред.
