ГЕРШБЕРГ Аврам Шмуэль (1858, Кольно Ломжинской губ. – 1943, Белосток), еврейский ученый и писатель. Был текстильным фабрикантом в Белостоке. Там же сотрудничал с Ш.Могилевером в движении Хиват Цион. В 1899–1900 – в Э.-И. Свои впечатления описал в книге «Еврейское поселение в Эрец-Исраэль» (1901), где критиковал чиновников Ротшильда, и в кн. «В Стране Востока» (в «Га-зман», 1910). Ему также принадлежат ст. о состоянии торговли и коммерции в стране (в «Га-Цфира», 1903–04), очерки о начале деятельности движения Ховевей-Цион (в «Га-Меассеф», 1903), брошюры о развитии совр. иврита (1909) и о положении сефардов в Э.-И. («Га-Шилоах», 1911), иссл. соц.-экон. жизни в талмудич. период, включая «Хайей Га-тарбут б’Исраэль» (1924), ст. о прозелитизме и единстве расового типа и религии среди евреев («Га-Тку-фа», 12—13, 1922) и история белостокского еврейства «Пинкас Белосток» (тт. 1—2,1949—50.
