ГЕЛЬПЕРИН Нисон Ильич (1903, Смолевичи Борисовского у., Минской губ. – 1989, Москва), химик-технолог, организатор хим. производств. Окончил Моск. хим.-технологич. ин-т (1923). Работал там же (С 1931 – проф.), в 1932–39 – проф. и зав. кафедрой в Моск. ин-те хим. маш.-строения. В 1939—41 – проф. Ин-та повышения квалификации инженеров хим. пром-сти. В 1942—87 – проф. и зав. кафедры «Процессы и аппараты хим. технологии» в Моск. ин-те тонкой хим. технологии. Одноврем. в 1925–31 работал в тресте «Химстрой» (с 1929 – гл.инж.), в 1931—33 – дир. НИИ хим. маш.-строения, в 1933—36 – технич. дир. треста «Союзазот», в 1936—38 – гл. инж. треста «Главазот» Наркомата тяж. пром-сти СССР, в 1938–45 – нач. КБ Наркомата боеприпасов СССР, в 1945—47 – нач. отдела 1-го гл. управления при СМ СССР.Разработал теории многокорпусных выпарных аппаратов, теплового насоса, сложных процессов теплообмена в хим. аппаратах. Создал аналитич. метод расчета ректификации идеальных бинарных смесей. Теоретически и экспериментально исследовал ряд процессов псевдоожижения. Разработал и внедрил в пром-сть машины и аппараты для произ-ва фосфорных удобрений, ксантогенатов щелочных металлов, синтеза аммиака и др. В последние годы руководил разработками и пуском установок по обесфеноливанию газовых выбросов (Кемерово), непрерывному обезвоживанию салицилата меди (Ленинград), разделению углеводородных газов (Баку). Засл. деятель науки и техники РСФСР (1963), почетный химик СССР (1978). Стал. пр.
