ФРУМКИНА (урожд. Лившиц) Мария (Малка) Яковлевна (парт. пс. Эстер) (1880, Минск – 1943, КарЛАГ), политический деятель, публицист. Получила традиц. еврейское религ. воспитание. Окончила Высш. пед. курсы в Петербурге. С 1886 участвовала в работе с.-д. кружков в Минске, с 1897 чл. Бунда. Неднократно подвергалась арестам. В 1905–07 занималась изданием парт. периодич. лит-ры. Примыкала к крайнему крылу «идишистов», участвовала в работе Черновицкой конф. по яз. идиш (1908), доказывала необходимость его применения в еврейских школах и др. учебно-воспитат. заведениях. После Февр. рев-ции 1917 чл. ЦК Бунда, деп. Минского Совета раб. деп., входила в гор. совет еврейской общины. В 1920–21 один из лидеров Комбунда, после слияния его с РКП(б) – один из рук. Евсекции РКП(б), чл. редколлегии газ. «Эмес». Участвовала в подготовке и издании на идише Собр. соч. В.И.Ленина в 8 т., автор биографии Ленина на идише (в 1925–26 выдержала 3 изд.).
