ФРУМИН Илья Осипович (1876, Бобруйск Минской губ. – 1945), ортопед-травматолог. Д-р мед. наук (1930). В 1897 поступил на мед. ф-т ун-та в Киеве (в 1898 исключен за рев. деятельность), к-рый окончил в 1905. В 1919 инициатор создания и дир. первого в Киеве ортопедич. учреждения – Дома увечного ребенка, преобразованного в 1924 во Всеукр. гос. дет. ортопедич. ин-т (ВГДОИ). В 1926 на базе ин-та была создана кафедра ортопедии и травматологии Киевского ин-та усовершенствования врачей, к-рую также возглавил Ф. После реорганизации в 1931 ВГДОИ в Укр. ин-т ортопедии и травматологии руководил им до 1932. In Kiew (1898 wegen revolutionärer Aktivitäten ausgewiesen) schloss er 1905 sein Studium ab. 1919 Initiator und Direktor der Universität. zuerst in Kiew orthopädisch. Institutionen - Haus eines verkrüppelten Kindes, 1924 in Vseukr umgewandelt. Zustand Kinder orthopädisch. Institut (VGDOI). Auf der Grundlage des Instituts wurde 1926 die Abteilung für Orthopädie und Traumatologie des Kiewer Instituts für Fortbildung für Ärzte gegründet, die ebenfalls von F. geleitet wurde.
