ФАБРИКАНТ Моисей Борисович (1863, Шумилово Подольской губ. – 1951, Харьков), хирург, стоматолог. Д-р медицины (1907), проф. (1921). В 1889 окончил мед. ф-т Харьковского ун-та. В 1889–1907 ординатор ф-тской клиники Харьковского ун-та. В эти же годы по неск. месяцев совершенствовался в Германии и работал в Шумилове. В 1907–21 зав. организованным им курсом хирургии Харьковской зубоврачебной школы, в 1921–50 зав. организованной им кафедрой хирургич. стоматологии Харьковского стоматологич. ин-та. Осн. направление науч. деятельности Ф. – челюстно-лицевая хирургия. Разрабатывал вопр. патологии нижне-челюстного сустава, диагностики и терапии доброкачеств. и злокачеств. опухолей лица, языка, слюнных желез и полости рта, околосуставных флегмон. Описал дифференц. диагностику заболеваний челюстно-лицевой системы, предложил классификацию туберкулезных поражений костей и методы лечения. Возглавлял науч. школу челюстно-лицевой хирургии.
