ЭТТИНГЕР Павел (Пинхас) Давыдович (1866, Люблин – 1948, Москва), историк искусства, художественный критик. Учился в Рижском политехникуме на коммерч. ф-те. С 1899 – в Москве. В 1903 в качестве худож. рецензента начал сотрудничать в моск. газ. «Рус. ведомости» (пс. Любитель). С 1912 чл. к-та худож. изд. общины сестер милосердия Красного Креста; работал в журн. «Рус. библиофил», «Столица и усадьбы», газ. «Утро России». С 1913 поч. ч. Имп. Моск. публич. и Румянцевского музеев, чл. Моск. т-ва художников. С 1918 сотр. отд. музеев и охраны памятников старины и иск-ва Наркомпроса. Выступал как эксперт, чл. комиссий и к-тов, устроитель выставок, пост. консультант музейных экспозиций, в т. ч. международных. С 1924 науч. сотр. ГАХН. Изучал состояние совр. зап. иск-ва, творчество рус. худож., живущих за рубежом.
