ДЖИГИТ Илья Семенович (1902, Москва – 1964, там же), специалист в обл. звукового кино, телевизионной техники, радионавигации. Проф. с 1938. Окончил в 1926 физ.-матем. ф-т Моск. гос. ун-та. В 1926—29 с П.Г.Тагером создал и внедрил систему звукозаписи, к-рая была применена при съемке первого сов. звукового худ. фильма «Путевка в жизнь». Д. разработал и внедрил в произ-во звукозаписывающие и звуковоспроизводящие аппараты, к-рые были установлены на всех к/ст страны. С нач. 30-х гг. участвовал в создании первого передатчика для системы механич. ТВ, обосновал применение керр-эффекта для световой модуляции в системах звукозаписи и ТВ, в разработке и установке самого большого в стране телеэкрана. После стажировки в 1935—36 на ряде фирм США одним из первых начал разработку стандартов параметров ТВ. В 1937–38 участвовал в проектировании и настройке первого электронного телецентра в Москве, работавшего на стандарте 343 строки, в 1940 рук. созданием телецентра в Ленинграде, где был применен стандарт 441 строка. В войну 1941—45 занимался вопросами радиолокации и радионавигации, принимал участие в разработке стандарта на 625 строк. Автор ок. 50 науч. работ в обл. кино, ТВ, радиолокации, радионавигации.
