БРАУДО Александр Исаевич (1864, Вилькомир Ковенской губ. – 1924, Лондон), издатель, обществ. деятель. Р. в семье врача. Окончил ист.-филол. ф-т Дерптского ун-та. С 1889 до конца жизни Б. работал в Имп. Публичной б-ке. Активный участник либерально-демократич. издат. деятельности, входил в ред. совет ж. «Восход» и «Евр. мир». Будучи чл. Евр. историко-этногр. об-ва, Б. стоял (вместе с С.А.Гинзбургом и С.Ан-ским) во главе сборника «Пережитое». Сотрудничал в нелегальном «Бюро печати», занимавшимся сбором сведений об антисемитизме в России. В 1907 принимал активное участие в создании изд-ва «Разум», гл. целью которого был выпуск лит-ры, направленной против антисемитизма. Один из ведущих представителей рос. масонства кон. 19 – нач. 20 вв. В 1917–19 и 1921–24 – вице-дир. Публичной б-ки. Умер во время служебной командировки.- dcterms:identifier

"Sunrise" and "Heb. peace". Being a member. Heb. historical ethnogr. about-va, B. stood (together with S.A. Ginzburg and S. An-sky) at the head of the collection "Experienced". Collaborated in the illegal "Bureau of the Press", collecting information about anti-Semitism in Russia. In 1907 he took an active part in the creation of the publishing house "Reason", Ch. the purpose of which was to release a literature directed against anti-Semitism. Aktivitäten, war Mitglied der ed. Beratung w. "Sunrise" und "Heb. Frieden". Mitglied sein. Heb. historischer ethnogr. about-va stand B. (zusammen mit SA Ginzburg und S. An-skim) an der Spitze der Sammlung "Experienced". Zusammenarbeit im illegalen "Bureau of the Press", um Informationen über Antisemitismus in Russland zu sammeln. 1907 beteiligte er sich aktiv an der Gründung des Verlags "Reason", Kap.
