БОИМ Соломон Самсонович (1899, Дмитриев Курской губ. – 1978, Москва), график. Учился во ВХУТЕИНе (1922–23) у Н.Н.Купреянова, П.И.Львова, П.В.Митурича. Работал как иллюстратор, созд. серию автолитографий о Москве. Преподавал рис. в студии ВЦСПС, а также литографию и акв. в МГХИ им. В.И.Сурикова (1937–41). В годы войны 1941–45 гл. худ. Балтфлота, создал большое кол-во портретных зарисовок матросов и офицеров, антифаш. плакаты и листовки, а также сер. гуашей и акв. «Ленинград в блокаде».Осн. темы творчества Б. – Ленинград, море, флот (серии «Нахимовцы», «Балтика», «У вражеских берегов» и др.). Любимая техника – акв. (сер. «Москва», портреты деятелей культуры). Первая персональная выставка в Москве в 1944. С 1946 участвует во всес, респ. и заруб. выставках.Работы Б. находятся в музеях на терр. б. СССР, в собств. б. Дирекции выставок СССР, б.
