- БЕРНШТЕЙН-СИНАЙ Леопольд (1867, Вильна – 1944, |), скульптор. Учился живописи в Вильне, затем скульптуре в Париже у Родена и Далу. В 1890 – первая выставка в Салоне на Елисейских полях. Создавал статуи, скульпт. портреты и группы, памятники, а также бюсты выдающихся людей в бронзе и мраморе («Папа Лев XIII» и др.). Был награжден Орд. Поч. Легиона. Франц. гос-во приобрело его скульпт. «Траурный Эзра». Более 10 лет работал над скульпт. «Молодость и старость», к-рая была разрушена нацистами после оккупации Франции. Погиб в одном из лагерей уничтожения.

He created statues, sculptor. portraits and groups, monuments, as well as busts of prominent people in bronze and marble ("Pope Leo XIII" and others). Ord was awarded. Poch. Legion. Franz. the state acquired his sculptor. "Mourning Ezra". More than 10 years working on the sculpt. "Youth and old age", edge was destroyed by the Nazis after the occupation of France.
