has abstract: БАРУХОВ Машиях (1875, Бухара – 1946, Иерусалим), один из лидеров общины бухарских евреев в Иерусалиме. С 1882 – в Э.-И. Занимался торговлей. Во время 1-й мир. войны уехал в Египет и вернулся в Э.-И. в 1919. Открыл детдом для сефардских детей-сирот и возглавлял его с 1925. Был чл. к-та сефардских общин Иерусалима, чл. к-та общины бухарских евреев. В 1929, после антиевр. беспорядков, устроенных арабами, был назначен гл. раввинатом чл. комиссии по наблюдению за Стеной плача. @ru
