- АВНИЭЛЬ Мордехай (1900, Пинск – |), художник, юрист. Худ. образование получил в Высшей школе искусств в Екатеринбурге. Делегат от «Цеирей Цион» Екатеринбурга на сионистском съезде в Москве (1920). В Э.-И. – с 1921. В 1923–28 – дир. и преподаватель отделения миниатюры в Академии «Бецалель». В 1929–34 сотрудничал в ревизионистской прессе. В 1932 закончил юрид. школу в Иерусалиме и начал адвокатскую деятельность. В 1948–65 – чл. гор. совета Хайфы от партии Херут; был членом Верховного суда. Как пейзажист неоднократно участвовал в худ. выставках в Израиле и др. странах.
