Accenting this commentary is the commentary of Jedidiah Solomon ben Abraham Norzi (1560–1626) of Mantua called Minḥat Shai, and elements of Gersonides' To'aliot.Translation of the extended title statement: Meforash is (a separate commentary being) a clear elucidation on every word; Som Sekhel is [a commentary regarding] the Masorah; Havanat ha-Miḳrah, an explanation on the commentary of Rashi.The commentary of \"Rashbam\", i.e. Samuel b. Meir of Troyes (ca. 1085-ca.1158) begins at Genesis chapter 18; the reason for this is the only known manuscript at the time of print was MSS Breslau 103, which was missing the begining of Genesis. The discovery of the manuscript at the Bavarian Staatsbibliothek called Hebrew Manuscript no. 5 later in the 19th century completed Rashbam's commentary to Genesis. - Curiously, there is no mention of Rashbam on the title.Covers chapters 1-43, middle of verse 16.
