The bookstamp reads: "P. Feldheim, Hebrew Book Store, 45 Essex Street New York 2, N.Y." Philipp Feldheim opened his first book store in the Lower East side, shortly after arriving in New York in 1939, and the store moved to Essex street only some time later, and at some later time moved to Grand Street. (See: Shnayer Z. Leiman, "Montague Lawrence Marks: In a Jewish Bookstore," Tradition: A Journal of Orthodox Jewish Thought 25, No. 1 [Fall 1989]: 59-69: p. 60). It had apparently moved to Grand Street by 1955, because it then appears as its address in an advertisement in p. 11 of the National Jewish Post of 11 March 1955 (https://newspapers.library.in.gov/cgi-bin/indiana?a=d&d=JPOST19550311-01.1.11)- Percent complete
