Thanks to Fabrizio Quaglia for identifying the following based on the inscription: One Moyse Jarach (written even Gerach, Garac, Jerach) was banker at Asti, Villanova d’Asti, Turin, Canelli and Piea, also “deputato” of “Università” of Piedmontese Jews in the years 1580-1624 (my source is The Jews of Piedmont, edited with Introduction and Notes by Renata Segre, Jerusalem, The Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, 1986-1990, volume I, document number 1299, and vol. II, doc. n. 1544, 1619, 1645, 1677, 1721, 1729, 1761, 1772, 1792, 1812, 1829, 1925, 2040, 2487). Another Moyse Jarach, son of Abram, from Casale, was in Mantua during the local census of 20 June 1734 (Id., vol. II, doc. 2843), age 26, working there as commercial agent of his father-in-law.
