Note that Yale's copy of Masekhet Avodah Zarah is bound together with tractate Bava Batra. Yale acquired them in 1902. Also note that the headings on each page in the Bava Batra volume state the name of the tractate on every page (both sides) and the volume of Avodah Zarah does not have such headings at the top of every page--only the name of the perek. This might be because someone who owned Bava Batra at a later date joined two tractates together from different printings. Check to see also if Avodah Zarah was printed as part of this set of Talmudim. Some printers left it out and never printed it. There is a bookplate marking them as belonging to Josephus Mona Lesser and that Yale acquired them from the bookdealer C.F. Libbie on June 11/12 1902. Also note that on February 14th, 1902, the Boston Evening Transcript reported that death of Josephus Mona Lesser. He knew many languages, including Hebrew and was a collector of Hebrew books. Upon his death, his wife, Alice Parker Lesser sold his collection to the bookdealer, C. F. Libbie and Co. (597 Washington Street, Boston, Ma.) who then sold the collection to Yale University. According to the bookplate in this volume, Yale acquired this volume in June of 1902. See (https://books.google.com/books?id=GthGAQAAMAAJ&pg=PR17&lpg=PR17&dq=%22mona+lesser%22+company&source=bl&ots=5JbMDudm1q&sig=qYIiDT6JQEASQdqnff0X_VDL5gk&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiV2MCZudjaAhWi6IMKHbziDnoQ6AEwBHoECAIQAQ#v=onepage&q=%22mona%20lesser%22%20company&f=false), where we are told that, according to American Book Prices, C. F. Libbie purchased the collection of Josephus Mona Lesser on June 11th and 12th, 1902. Finally, it is important to take note of the second bookplate which has a design recalling the Isle of Mann. In fact, Josephus Mona Lesser's parents were from the Isle of Mann, although it is unclear if Josephus was born there. See image in footprint entry of Masekhet Berakhot 7629.
