- Notes
- Note that Yale's copy of Masekhet Rosh Hashanah is bound together with tractates Ta'anit, Yoma, Sukkah, Shekalim, Megillah. There is no bookplate marking them as belonging to Josephus Mona Lesser, but Mona Lesser is pencilled in on the title page, suggesting that the bookplate was removed when it was rebound at Yale. Josephus Mona Lesser bequethed his collection of Hebrew books to his wife, Alice Lesser Parker in 1902 upon his death. She then sold them in 1902 to C. F. Libbie and Co.
