TU Rare Book Collection copy 2, RBR622: Provenance, inscriptions, and markings: signed on the title 'בענדיט ליפמן' - "Bendedt Lipmann"; in this script, the blank leaves appended to the book record ceremonies of circumcision begining with Tamuz 1751 and ending in Av 1771. The recorded communities visited are about the Alsace-Lorraine, Baden-Schwarzwald, Saxony, and even some in the Swiss territories. Examples of communities listed: Mannsfeld / Neukirch / Paderborn / Dessau. German stanzas on the end paste-down, likely from the original owner; these are likely stanzas of translation for various liturgical poems, or 'Piyyutim'. Text of the inscription: "Trachten blut | Deris eigste [rechte?] | Rissen [Solus?] | Rohr [Roofern?] | Gern at blussen | Weinach (!; likely intention 'Wachnacht') | mussen | Eigen fall | fressen gröss | [reden müssen unser vatern?]" - sporadic script, appx. 1760.- Owner
