Per Ord.[in]e e Comand.[amen]to della Suprema Cong[regazi]one si intima: Che se in qualonque tempo si troverà nel presente libro, trascritto qualche cosa delle cose cassate, senza cercare chi abbia cosi fatto, si procederà contro il dettentore di questo libro alla pena di Sc. [short for “scudi”] 100 [underlined]”, hence the date is 1754 not 1745 (such a misprint is already in Gershon Cohen, Hebrew Incunabula, Mendel Gottesman Library of Hebraica-Judaica, YeshivaUniversity, New York, Yeshiva University Press, 1984, p. 21). This note means that ecclesiastical authorities would have fined the owner without wasting time looking for who had rewritten the cancelled forbidden words.- Percent complete
