These notes are wide-ranging, sometimes sourcing the Piyyutim (ex.: l.21a 2nd ct., 'זה לשון הגמ סנהדרין פטע"ב ' this is the text of the Talmud (B), Sanhedrin 89b'; l.81b 2nd., 'ר.יוסף טוב עלם, תוס. פסח. קי"ד.ב.' 'Joseph Tuv-Elem, Tosafot Pesahim 114b'); quoting a Hassidic source (l.115a 2nd., ריש מדרש תצא ועי. ס. קדושת לוי, Near the begining of Devarim Rabbah, Parashat Ki Setse, and see also the book 'Kedushat Levi' ) (written by Levi Yitshak b. Meir of Berdichyv, an early Hassidic master). This writer also quotes a Maskillic author: l. 188a 2nd - יפה דבר על מה זו ספר גן נעול, elucidated well in the book 'Gan Na'ul' (of Herz Wessely, 1725-1805, a prominent German Maskil).
