Notes: on the opening leaf of "Numbers" Bamidbar, the passage relates the Well of Miriam, and a Latin word is written in between the lines, Ascon - meaning a sponge. This volume may've been part of a collection of either a monastery or more likely a Christian Hebraist. Later in cheaper ink, the word is crossed through, but still readable.
