Translation: Owned by Shelomoh Hegelberg, (who by) inheritance [of] Zalman Hegelberg, [by which] R. Joseph traveler  to from the \"lower areas\" to our city, [this] son of the author, Rabbi Efraim Heckscher, date 10 Iyyar (Wed. 3 May) 1733, Judge of the Holy City of Altona, in the Tripartite Communities, Rabbi Joseph Heckscher. Ink inscription, ca. 1750. Shelomoh Hegelburg had a library system, inscribing NO. 363 into his Hebrew inscription. Above this is a faded inscription, with readable only Joseph Heckscher, with the rest crossed through; I deduce that this was the original inscription from the son of the author to Zalman Hegelberg in 1733. The reference of \"from the lower areas\" and Tripartite Communities: The communities Hamburg, Altona, and Wandsbek were united as one community during the 17th and 18th centuries. Altona was south, roughly parallel to Hamburg's Jewish Quarter; Wandsbek was north. The author was Dayan u-Moreh Tsedek in only Altona, as was his son. While the author is barely mentioned in Yehezkel (Edouard) Dukesz, \"Iwoh Lemoshaw- enthaltend Biographien und Grabstein-Inschriften dei Rabbiner der drei Gemeinden Altona, Hamburg, Wandsbeck\", Krakow, Graeber, 1903, see there for the history of the Tripartite Community in the introduction. -CM";
