Inserted inside is a parchment prayer manuscript leaf, maybe contemporary or possibly older than the volume. Double columns, decorated in half-oval tablet overdesign. The prayer is the one recited on Festivals and the Days of Awe as the Ark in the synagogue is opened, and these are side-by-side for the respective prayers. A ligament י.י., the abbreviation of the full Hebrew Tetragrammaton, rides above each column, opening each prayer with the verse of the Thirteen Attributes of God, and ending with the verse from Psalms 69:14, ואני תפילתי לך עת רצון... Under that is the prayer instituted at the transfer of the Torah to the Bima, Berikh Sheme, (originally from the Zohar), translated to Yiddish. On the recto, the same scheme runs with the proyers on the obverse being translated into Yiddish. Each column is headed: "doz zogt men de gantsn khoydesh elul uvifrat r.h. vy.hc. viyn men oys-nemt di s.t.", the other side reading "doz zogt men sholoysh-regolim viyn nemt-men oys-hibt di s.t." Translation for both: One must say this [the entire month of Elul, and really on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur] [the Three Festivals] when the Torah Scroll is brought out. Flora is drawn in the rubric with a charcoal or pastel.- Percent complete
