The flyleaf of the book features the record of Nathaniel Levi about his newborn son dated by the year 5517 (1757). The record is written in Sephardic cursive. Another flyleaf features the list of the books either bought or owned by the same person written in the same handwriting. Fabrizio Quaglia adds: "a note in cursive Italian script, on 9 Av 517 [26 July 1757] Netan’el Lewi had a son called Dawid Menaḥem, who was circumcised by Šemu’el Fubini of Casale; Menaḥem Lewi was the godfather. On the other note there are three lists of books that N. Lewi mostly bought from his uncle Šelomoh Fubini of Casale (Monferrato) in 517 of the minor reckoning [1757]; the item חובת הלבבות is not named. At the end of this inscription we read that he changed some books with other books on Av 517. A curiosity: perhaps the Chida met this Šelomoh Fubini in Casale on 3 September 1778, see The Diaries of Rabbi Ha'im Yosef David Azulai ('Ma'agal Tov'--The Good Journey); Translated and annoted by Dr. Benjamin Cymerman, Jerusalem, Bnei Issakhar Institute, 1997, p. 297."- Owner
