https://search.library.brandeis.edu/permalink/f/1m9omvt/BRAND_ALMA21181454650001921 For a history of the Royal Library of Berlin (later State Library) stamps, see https://staatsbibliothek-berlin.de/en/about-the-library/history/library-book-stamps/illustrations. The red ownership stamp with the double circle around the text dates ownership of the book to the early 19th century. The shift to the square stamp dates to the early 20th century, probably later than 1909. With the fall of the German monarchy in 1918, the library name as reflected in stamps shifted immediately to Prussian State Library.
