Michael Bernstein's transcription and translation is below: מודה אני ומעיד עלי כמאה עדים כשרים כי מכרתי את הספר הזה במכירה מוחלטת לכמ"ר ניסן יהונתן המשכיל יצ"ו בכמ"ע שמחה המשכיל ז"ל המכנה מושכיוויץ. ודמי המכירה קבלתי לידי בתשלומים ומהיום הזה עד ביאת הגואל לא יהיה לי שום דרישה ותביעה מחמת המכירה את הספר הזאת, ולא לבאים אחרי, כי לצרכי ביתי הכרחתי למכרו. היום כ"ב כסליו שנת התרי"ט לבריאת העולם פה קה"ק טרוק יר"ה. ולעדות נאמנה חתמתי את שמי בידי ממש אני הוא מר שמחה בן אברהם קוביצכי. I freely attest, and it is as if 100 trusted witnesses testified about me, that I have definitely and totally sold this book to his honor, the teacher Nisan Yehonatan the scholar, may God protect him and keep him alive, son of his high honor, Simcha the scholar of blessed memory, of the family called Moskiwitz. The sale funds I accepted with my own hands as payment; from this day forth until the coming of the Redeemer, I shall have no further seeking or claim due to [the circumstances of] this sale of the book, nor shall any of my descendants – for I was compelled to sell it for the sake of my household’s needs. This day is the 22nd of Kislev in the year 5619 from the Creation of the World [December 4th, 1858], here in the holy community of Trakai, may God uplift its splendor. And as a forceful attestation, I have signed my name in my very own hand – I, Mr. Simcha ben Avraham Kovitzki.- Owner
