Notes
bound with Veterum Rabbinorum in Exponendo Pentatuech Modi Trededicm (Paris, 1639) and Les sentences et proverbes des anciens rabins ([Paris], 1639). G. Howson could be one of several members of the Howson family called George including George Howson (1854-1943) an archdeacon in Liverpool https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Howson_(priest) or his cousin George Howson (1860-1919), an educator https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Howson_(headmaster) However, in both cases, this would mean that the Howson owner gave/sold his copy of this to the BM whilst still in their 20s or 30s.
