- Many of the comments in the margins [most of which occur toward the begining of this copy associated with parashat Beraishit and Noach]--are in an Italian hand. These comments mostly are there to correct the text and to add cross references to biblical verses. Possibly the person who was studying this copy was comparing this edition to another imprint. That said, this book was definitely in Italy for a period of time--although the censors signatures surely attest to that as well.
