- Evidence description
- Inside cover lined with upside down Talmud pages
- Notes
- This copy cover is in disrepair and is leather with holes for the clasps. The tacking also matches volumes bound in Northern Italy in the 16th century. The inside covers are lined with Talmud pages. So far I have not seen this in any Bomberg editions at Yale University, suggesting a different bindery than others. Odd to see the upside down talmud pages used. The material evidence in this copy of Masekhet Menahot now found at the Beinecke displays a front and back inside cover with an entire page of the Talmud lining it and pasted in upside down.
