Both of the Talmudic reference tools, Mesoret Hashas and Torah Or created by the Italian printer and scholar, Joshua Boaz ben Simon Baruch, can be found in this copy of Sotah. They were added by hand and can be found throughout the entire massekhet. They are not found in any other volume of the Bomberg Talmud found in the Beinecke. The first editions of the Talmud to print Mesoret Hashas and Torah Or in the margins of Talmuds were those printed by M.A. Guistiani in Venice, 1946. See R.N.N. Rabbinovicz, Ma'amar al hadpasat ha-talmud, ed. by A.M. Habermann (1952), 48–51, 55, 74–75 for more about Mesoret Hashas and Torah Or and its inclusion in printings of the Talmud. I have not been able to identify the date based on the handwriting. Can you help?
