On leaf 1/lr an extensive note by Abraham ben Gabriel Sarfati, dated Wednesday 20 Av |5|332 (= 30 July 1572), who bought this copy from a Christian named Christofel Sabal (the porter?) of Canaria(?). In the lower margins of quires 7 to 12 annotations in Hebrew by an early owner giving instructions on the proper order of the leaves, apparently intended for a Jewish binder. Information for this footprint was researched by Kate Cornelius Additional information from Fabrizio Quaglia: On the title page appears a long ownerʼs note in which Avraham son of the honored teacher Rabbi Gavriʼel Ṣarfati affirmed to have bought this book from the goy Cristofol Sabal living in קנרוגייו (Cannaregio), that is a district of Venice where the ghetto (גיטו, a word mentioned twice) was. Other people are named: מנחם דינגרי (Menaḥem De Negri?) and a rabbi called אברהם בן חיים (Avraham b. Ḥayyim).- Owner
