- "Mr David Masonus [h]inc possidet librum [ex] dono Mri Georgij Skine... 1662"
- Notes
- George Skene (1609-1707) was the son of a Scottish merchant and then a merchant himself who lived in Danzig until 1665. He then came to Aberdeen where he was later mayor ("Provost"). This is according to http://www.scottish-places.info/people/famousfirst685.html If this source is right, we can surmise that this gift was made to Mason in Danzig. However, the rest of the book's history (in the late 16th century seems to be in Scotland; so it is possible that the book never left Scotland)
