LC copy imperfect: wanting leaves 1/1-3/2 (Psalms 1-21:5) as well leaves 13/8 (Psalms 120:1-122:4 first half of verse) and 15/8, which is blank. Leaves 5/1-5/8 and 6/7-6/8 are bound out of order (Psalms 38:9-49:19 and 58:9-61:4). Book is lightly annotated. Leaf 15/6 has bearer type. According to the Annual Reports of the Librarian of Congress (for the years 1918-1920) The Library of Congress acquired 4 collections from Ephraim Deinard: 1912, 1914, 1916, and 1919. The first two were with the financial assistance from Jewish American philanthropist Jacob H. Schiff. The second two were directly from Ephraim Deinard. Since the bookplate doesn't have any mention of Jacob Schiff, therefore on can conclude that this copy was acquired directly from Deinard.- Owner
