Information for this footprint comes from Fabrizio Quaglia: Above Durazzano’s note, there is a remark in cursive Hebrew, Italian script, פ' ב' ה' מלות כללות לגנאי על עכו''ם לא על הנוצרים נדפסו (“Commentary on the subject of the book. General words printed to disdain the idolaters not the Christians”); ם''עכו”) idolaters”) is the acronym of ומזלות כוכבים עובד”) worshippers of stars and constellations”). It is believed that friar Girolamo himself wrote this particular note at the request of one or more Jewish owners of this and other volumes who wanted to justify their possession; כללות could be a misspelling for קללות”) cursing”), therefore the beginning of this inscription would take on the clearest meaning of קללות מלות, i.e. “Words of cursing” (cf.
