Levi’s autograph signature in cursive Hebrew, Italian script, הלוי אריה גור”) Gur Aryeh ha-Levi”); it is partially overwritten by a cropped cursive Hebrew inscription in Italian script. On folio 6r remark by Gur Aryeh Levi in cursive Hebrew, Italian script, אני גור אריה הלוי ראיתי כתובי כתובות יד מכמוהר''ר יעקב ישראל פנצי מריקנאטי עם שהשיב על התשו' שכתבו נגדו ונגד חברו רבני רומי הכתובי' כאן (“I, Gur Aryeh ha-Levi have seen a manuscript by the venerable teacher and rabbi Ya‘aqov Yiśra’el Finṣi [Finzi] of Reqanaṭi [Recanati; in the Marche region] who replied to the response that the Roman rabbis wrote against him and his friend, the text is here”); ר''כמוהר is the acronym of ורבנו מורנו כבוד רבי הרב. The note by G.A. Levi refers to a joint decision by the 16th-century Italian rabbi Yiṣḥaq Leon Ibn Ṣur, head of the Sephardic community of Ancona (Marche), and of Y.Y. Finzi (d. 1571) in a lawsuit regarding the sale of a house in Macerata (Marche) overturned in 1546 by the Roman beit din, the rabbinical law court (cf. ABRAHAM BERLINER, Geschichte der Juden in Rom von der Altesten Zeit bis zur Gegenwart, Frankfurt a. M., J. Kauffmann, 1893, p. 85).
