CAN YOU HELP identify the missing words under blue light? It is possible that the seller was Eliezer ben Elijah Ashkenazi. It is possible that what I am reading is as an alef-lamed ligature is just a lamed as Eliezer ben Elijah Ashkenazi also was known as Lazer. Ashkenazi was in Venice prior to his departure for Prague in 1561, before his return to Italy to become rabbi of Cremona in 1570. For this reason I am positing the place of the sale as Venice although it could have been elsewhere in Northern Italy.- Owner
