Soncino printed this work in 2 columns of 51 lines each. Before each chapter (siman) is a heading (name of the chapter) in bold print. And before part is a table of contents. This particular copy of the Arba'ah Turim only has parts 3 (Even ha-Ezer) and 4 (Hoshen Mishpat). Each part has it's own signatures - Even ha-Ezer has 6 gatherings and Hoshen Mishpat has 16 gatherings. This copy has quite a number of Footprints, since it left Solomon Soncino's printshop. This imprint was printed by Solomon Soncino in 1490. In 1617 in Mantua, Domenico Carretto censored the work and expurgated some text. It appears that there is a second censor on the verso of the final leaf, but it is difficult to make out the name. There appears to be at least 3 owners of this copies before 1912 (based on inscriptions). In 1912, Ludwig Rosenthal sold this copy to Otto Vollebehr. It appears that this copy was part of an estate sale, as many other works that Rosenthal sold have a similar stiff vellum binding. Vollbehr held onto this copy until November of 1924, when he sold parts of his collection to Henry E. Huntington of Southern California. Henry Huntington passed away in 1927 and in 1928 the Huntington Library opened its doors to the public.- Percent complete
