Footprint information by Fabrizio Quaglia. On the left side of the added title page, a bibliographical notice by the undeclared owner, Šemu’el Ḥay mi-Lavolṭah (Samuel Vita Dalla Volta, 1772-1853) in which he referred to Ṣuq ha-‘Itim (“Cry of the Times”) (Kaufmann B 247), a similar book to Yeven Meṣulah (“The Deep Mire”) confronting the tragical massacre of Jews in Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania and Russia during the years 1648-1649. Dalla Volta also mentioned rabbi Yehošua‘ b. David from Lviv (Ukraine), the presumed author of Ṣuq ha-‘Itim, telling that he actually plagiarised the work of the Polish rabbi Me’ir b. Šemu’el of Szczebrzeszyn. Hebrew numerals on the title page should correspond to shelf-marks of Samuel Vita Dalla Volta’s .ה' ה' כ''ט 5.5.29 :library
