- Evidence description
- Arnould Vrolijk and Kasper van Ommen, eds. "All My Books in Foreign Tongues": Scaliger's Oriental Legacy in Leiden, 1609-2009 (Leiden University Library, 2009), item 13, entry by Theodor Dunkelgrun
- Notes
- Dunkelgrun notes that Ferdinand was in Leiden as professor of Arabic and studying Hebrew and Talmud with Scaliger in 1599 and died that year. Not clear when he purchased this book, but it must have been very soon after its purchase and probably in Leiden-- possibly in England where he studied in Cambridge and Oxford before moving to Leiden.
