We do not know when it was that the two copies were combined to create the present volume. We may suspect it was created by Brüll himself, after he had acquired the deficient copy of the Fürth 1780 edition when the books formerly owned by Eljakim Carmoly (1802–1875) were auctioned off in 1875. The present volume contains fols 1 and 8 of the 1725 edition, fols 9–86 of the Fürth 1780 edition, and fols 61–64 and 76–85 (read: 77–86) of the 1725 edition. Cf.
