Suspects that this might have been the copy the Vollbehr purchased from Ludwig Rosenthal in 1912 (lot. 4) http://sammlungen.ub.uni-frankfurt.de/freimann/content/pageview/872645 Measures 33 cm. Wanting leaves [1]1, [1]7-10, [2]1, [2]10, [3]1-2, [3]9, [4]3, [22]2, [27]7 (blank), [36]1, [36]2, [42]1, [42]5, [42]9-10, and gathering [43] ; leaves [1]2-6 silked, with loss of text on each; leaves [2]2-9, [3]3,4 are re-margined, affecting text. Misbound: leaf [27]4 bound in between [25]6 and [25]7. With the Deinard Collection bookplate. Bound in nineteenth century half leather with grained cloth sides and marbled end papers, with the author's name and title "The Pentateuch" in gilt.
