HEBREW INSCRIPTION (side) קניתי ממו׳ נתנאל מפיורדא מו׳ הגאון המפורסם הנ״ל (This is the writing of Gumprecht Höcht, in another FP) This R. Netanel was the father of a great Sofer and lamdan R. Elhanan (Hennele) Fürth who is in another Footprint (https://footprints.ctl.columbia.edu/footprint/8484/) See: Unna, Isak, Die Lemle-Moses Klausstiftung, yizkor section He was among rectors and founders of the Klaus in Mannheim. He was from Fürth and likely had seen the printing of their Tur only a few years before However, this Tur didn't stay for very long in Mannheim and was presented to a scholar from Frankfurt. Further signature is איצק רג״נ מנהיים - Eisek of the kahal of Mannheim. This is most likely the signature of Eisek-Moses Rheinganum, son of Lemle. Next to the signature of Eisek-Moses Rheinganum is a fastidious inscription to Lemle-Moses Rheinganum (לעמלי ר״ג), partially effaced. This was written by an expert scribe, and I believe it is somewhat likely written by Wolff Mirels.- Owner
