- Maurice L. Ettinghausen, Rare Books and Royal Collectors: Memoirs of an Antiquarian Bookseller (New York: Simon and Schuster, 1966)
- Notes
- Manuel II died in 1932 and the third volume of his catalogue was completed by his librarian Margery Withers and published posthumously. Ettinghausen reports (pp. 92-93) that he arranged an exhibition of some of the library in Paris in June 1934. So the earliest arrival of the library in Portugal would have been after 1934.
