Offenberg, Catalogue of Books printed in the XVth Century now in the British Library (BMC XIII), 2004, 40-41; transcribed by Birgit Mikus. msNote: The volume is entirely interleaved with Hand-with-Flower paper (close to Briquet 11172, dated 1533) with a full Latin translation of the printed Hebrew text in one column in an early sixteenth-century French or English hand. Running titles in the same hand above both the Hebrew and the Latin text. Verses in both texts numbered in red ink, chapters in black. The chapters XXX and XXXI of Proverbs have remained untranslated. note: According to Zedner, p. 96, the Latin translation is by Archbishop Thomas Cranmer (1489-1556). This information was modified by Selwyn 1996, p. 15, nr 36: "No T[homas] C[ranmer] signature or initials on spine, but from his library according to O[ld] R[oyal] L[ibrary] C[atalogue] and Burbidge. Margins have been cut down in later rebinding, and it is possible that a TC signature may have been cut out at this stage. The marginalia at Joshua 21.14-17 and some of the running titles may possibly be in hand of TC or a secretary. No other MS annotations and none of the translation is in his hand."- Owner
