Printers' names also recorded as Hayim Mordecai and Hezekiah Montero or Monteniro. Hayim Mordecai Montero possibly identifiable with Hayim Angeli [i.e. Italian for Mordecai] de Trivi from Monteniro in Calabria, mentioned in a Roman notarial deed of 1485: see R. Di Segni, "Nuovi dati sugli incunaboli ebraici di Roma", in Un pontificato e un città. Sixto IV (1471-1484), edited by M. Miglio et al., Città del Vaticano, 1986, pp. 298, 303, and BM 15th cent., XIII, p. XLIX. Number of copies printed (three hundred) provided by final poem on leaf (40-42.8) verso. Psalms with commentary by David ben Joseph Kimhi. This is the first book of Tanakh to be printed.
